Concord Celebrates International Women’s Day

At Premier Concord we are continually aware of how important women are in the workplace. A cornerstone of the success of the group is dependent on the handwork and Commitment of Samantha Stokes who has been involved on the running f the group since it’s formation.

Today we celebrated this with Sam Delivering a presentation on why it is important to raise up and support Women in the workplace.

Helping to overcome the boundaries of a “boys club” environment and providing networking that is welcoming and supportive to women is essential to fostering the diversity of thought that success requires.

Women may find it intimidating to first attend a networking event and juggling the commitments of family and career can make getting there in the first place a significant hurdle. None of this is helped when Shrek in a Suit is the first person you meet who says “Hi my names Tim, what do you do?”

Having a room full of Altruistic people genuinely interested in helping others has been key to making sure visitors continually want to return and ultimately join. Easing those who have never networked before into conversations that allow them to grow and thrive with professional business relationships should be evident form the first minute.

Sam has always be critical in embedding this culture in all our interactions.

Today she delivered a tour de force on why empowering women is so important in a modern organization. When women are responsible for the finances of an organisation, positive change occurs.

This is definitely true of our Treasurer Sam and Concord.

We are eternally grateful for her continued support and hope that we help to raise her and her business up to the heights it so thoroughly deserves.
